Keys to Success in Church

Quarterly Aim: To show the true meaning of a church being successful for the Lord.

This series of lessons deals with the subject about having success in churches. Success is desired by most people in the world. Most people only want success in the world’s terms. This means amassing great wealth, gaining notoriety or achieving earthly goals. The Preacher of Ecclesiastes examined life from an earthly perspective. His pursuits brought him to this conclusion: “I returned, and saw under the sun, that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favour to men of skill; but time and chance happeneth to them all” (Eccl. 9:11). Worldly success cannot last beyond this life. Churches should not pursue that kind of success, churches should want to bring joy to the heart of the Savior. How can a church be successful in God eyes? How can it bring joy to His heart?

God's Good Gifts

Are you aware of the principles for living that God gave in the book of Genesis? Bible studies for this unit are directed towards learning and applying the values God gave man when history began. The purpose for these lessons is that students will become familiar with God’s principles and want to live by them.

Make your teaching as practical as possible by using the Bible stories as the basis for applying God’s truth to today’s living situations. Children need to know the Bible is relevant to living. It isn’t enough for students to learn about a Bible incident without understanding how it relates to their lives today.
