Shady Grove Baptist Church seeking Minister of Music
Shady Grove Baptist Church is seeking a Minister of Music to lead our worship team, which consists of vocalist, musicians, and audio/visual team members. The ideal candidate will be a skilled musician with strong ability to hear and teach vocal parts. The candidate must have the ability to identify and train new worship team members. The candidate must be fluent in gospel music styling as well as current contemporary music and have the ability to read and write music charts for musicians. The Minister of Music will be responsible to schedule and organize worship teams and leaders and will lead regular practices for worship teams. The Minister of Music must have a passion to lead God’s people into worship with excellence and follow the leading of the Holy Spirit. Administration and organizational skills are required with this position as well as the leading of special services at Easter, Christmas, Thanksgiving and other special events. Shady Grove Missionary Baptist Church is a medium sized church located three miles south of Monticello, Arkansas. We are located two miles from the University of Arkansas of Monticello. We are a multi-generational church looking for a person that can lead a blended style of worship and grow the music ministry. We are searching for someone that is trained to lead choirs for adults, youth and children.
