Churches Seeking Leaders

Sheridan First Baptist Church, an American Baptist Association church located in Sheridan, Indiana (a growing rural suburb of Indianapolis), anticipates beginning a formal pastoral search in approximately two months. We wanted to share an early update for those monitoring potential opportunities.

We are a small but active congregation with regular attendance of about 20. The Lord has been kind to our church during this transition, granting unity, steady attendance, continued community ministry, and faithful financial support while we prepare for the next season of leadership.

Our pulpit and teaching responsibilities are currently covered by a rotation of faithful men, and many within the congregation have stepped in to help carry responsibilities and maintain steady ministry. We are thankful for the support of sister churches and those who have helped serve during this time.

Marysville Missionary Bapstist Church is prayerfully seeking the man God would have for our pastor. He would initially need to be bi-vocational with our hopes to transition him to full time. We are a small congregation in a city of approximately 26,000 souls. And smaller communities in the surrounding area. We hold to the same Biblical Doctrines as expressed in the American Baptist Association and we use the KJV for preaching and teaching. We meet regularly on Sunday and Wednesday and our desire is to continue carrying out The Great Commission until the Lord's return.
