Passing of Ceilia McGehee

I am writing to ask for prayers for my family. My mother, Ceilia McGehee, the wife of Victor McGehee. Momma (Ceilia) was known as a Pastors wife and for her singing. Most places she went, she was asked to sing. Mom went to be with our Lord Sunday Jan 4th. The visitation will be at Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church (8120 US Highway 63, Rison, AR 71665) Thursday Jan 8th at 10 and the funeral will follow at 11 am.

He attended Missionary Baptist Seminary 1974-77 and was a member of North Little Rock Missionary Baptist Church during that time. He returned home to Nebraska and was involved in the ministry in Omaha Nebraska until his body began to fail him. I carry on his legacy as member and clerk of Immanuel Baptist Church of Bellevue Nebraska

Buel Lewallen with the LORD

Buel Wayne Lewallen, age 86, passed away on April 28, 2025 at the Pocola Health and Rehab Center in Pocola, OK. He was born on April 13, 1939, in Tuckerman, AR, to parents Earl and Vergie Lewallen and was a proud resident of Spiro, OK.

Brother Buel Lewallen was preceded in death only by his parents, Earl and Vergie Lewallen.

He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 60 years, Chris Lewallen, his daughter Kimberly Stewart and husband Brian, his son Kyle Lewallen and wife Terry, and his six grandchildren, Brandon, Taylor, Kade, Ryne, Tyce, and Tesa. Further, Brother Lewallen is survived by his sister Devonnia Crouse and husband Bill, his brother Willie Lewallen, his brother Carrol Lewallen and wife Wanda, his Aunt Rena Horn, and a host of nieces and nephews.

Deronda Clements Goodman of Prattsville, Arkansas was born January 6, 1946 in Mineral Springs, Arkansas, spending her childhood in Springhill, Louisiana. She was the daughter of the late Willie Bell Clements and Lorraine Corbell Clements.  At a young age Deronda accepted Jesus as her Savior and she’s faithfully served Him since that day. If anyone wanted an example of what a Pastor’s wife should be, they wouldn’t have to look any further than Deronda. She was one of the kindest, most genuine people you’d ever meet. Her gentle, reassuring smile, coupled with her huge servant’s heart, helped countless numbers of people over many years look beyond their situation, allowing them to see Jesus much more clearly. She gladly accepted hugs over thanks or recognition. She supported her husband’s ministry as Pastor of Sweet Home…
