MY MISSIONARY REPORT
For JANUARY 2024
Greetings in the precious name of Jesus. Hope everyone is doing well.
Mavis’ recovery from her stroke is going slow. Please keep her in your prayers. Her physical and occupational therapy is finished, as is the in-home health care. She is back to playing the piano at church which is a blessing. Her walking is continuing to get better. And she is back to doing the dishes and cooking, praise the Lord. So there are many areas where she is doing a lot better. Our main concern at the point is her tiredness and the side effects from the medicines prescribed. The doctors are suppose to be addressing this, but…, I’ll leave it at that. Please continue to pray for her.
January was kind of a “cabin fever” month. Now much outside activity or going any where. Reminds us of the Alaskan winters. Not a whole lot of snow, a little more than last January, but more cold and dampness than usual.
The Mission is doing fine. The preaching is great. The fellowship is wonderful. There is such a sweet spirit here, and unity. We have had returning visitors, which is always a blessing. Praise the Lord. Pray the good Lord increase us in number.
Yesterday Mavis and I and Judah went to see our sweet friends in the Adirondacks and spent the day with them. It was good to get out and enjoy the brisk winter air and have good fellowship and a great meal. Thank you Lord.
One Sunday we had Brother Gary Hawkins come by and preach for us. It is always a blessing when he comes by. He happen to come during a snow storm, so that wasn’t too good for him, being from Tennessee. Nevertheless it was good of God to send him and his wife by.
Pray for us as the hospital and doctor bills our insurance didn’t cover begin to roll in. Our God will supply, of that we are confident.
Until February's report, I hope you all stay safe and continue to enjoy the grace and love of our wonderful and faithful Saviour. May God bless you all.
